When God revealed Himself and His Law to Moses on St. Sinai, Moses besought God to let him see Our Lord. And though Moses was only given a glimpse of God’s glory and majesty, his face was made radiant for the rest of his life. Through Christ Our Lord, we, too, are offered the possibility of eternal radiance through His salvific death.

Holy Mother Church designates June as the month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This time is a reminder of the love of God and our obligation to respond to that love.

Credidimus caritati, “we have believed in love,” is known by many as the episcopal motto of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, founder of the Society of Saint Pius X. For many, believing in God’s love is a constant struggle, particularly in the face of adversity and when we come to know our own sinfulness. Yet God’s love remains with us throughout.

Along with a direct miracle from God, the family is a main source of vocations. However, even good and holy families often have questions on how to foster vocations. This sermon explores the importance of parents persevering with patience in their marriage vows as a means of encouraging vocations among their children.

Life presents innumerable challenges, which often feel overwhelming. In her wisdom, the Church provides opportunities to take a step back, collect ourselves, and become energized again to meet these difficulties head on, always trusting in Our Lord to see us through.

It is a sad reality in the Church that many raised Catholic fall away, especially as they enter adulthood. Although traditional Catholic parents are aware that they must immerse their children in the Faith, too often these same parents are tempted to make compromises with the world, thus exposing their children to adverse influences that have a detrimental impact on their commitment to Catholicism.

“Ask and ye shall receive…” Scripture is replete with examples of God inviting us to call upon Him, to seek His aid, and in doing so understand that without Him, we can do nothing. Only by relying on Our Lord can we hope to gain heaven.

Rash judgment, which is the ascent of the will to suspicions about others without sufficient grounds, is commonplace. It is a sin against the virtue of justice, one which we must be perpetually on guard against.

Throughout history, man has sought the truth of his existence. And though the Spirit of Truth, the Paraclete, has been given to the Church to reveal the fullness of truth to man, the intrusion of worldly thinking and temptations has seen the Church turning away from revealed truth since the Second Vatican Council.
