What is a Podcast?

A podcast is a series of audio files that are usually presented as “episodes” by the podcaster.

The listener uses a “podcatcher” – a program on their computer or an app on their mobile device – to subscribe to one or more podcasts.

Whenever the podcaster publishes a new episode, it will be delivered to the subscriber’s podcatcher.

Common questions

You don’t have to.  You can listen directly on this website with the built-in audio player.  But if you download an app or a program, you will automatically receive all the episodes.

There are plenty to choose from!
The most common ones are iTunes for Mac & iPhone, and Google Podcast for PC & Android.
Many people prefer to use Stitcher, Pocket Casts, Spotify, Overcast, among others.  It comes down to what you find easiest.

Just search “SSPX.” You should be able to find the podcast right away.  Click subscribe, and you’re ready to start listening!

We try to produce a new episode every week or two.  Often we will do a series that is released in quick succession, such as a Parish Mission during Passsiontide, or a series of sermons on a particular subject matter.

We’d love to hear it!  Just submit your suggestion on our contact page.

If you’re having problems, you may need to look on the podcatcher’s support page.  If you are still having trouble, feel free to reach out, and we’ll try to help you troubleshoot!
