Along with a direct miracle from God, the family is a main source of vocations. However, even good and holy families often have questions on how to foster vocations. “Ask and ye shall receive…” Scripture is replete with examples of God inviting us to call upon Him, to seek His aid, and in doing so understand that without Him, we can do nothing. Only by relying on Our Lord can we hope to gain heaven.

Rash judgment, which is the ascent of the will to suspicions about others without sufficient grounds, is commonplace. It is a sin against the virtue of justice, one which we must be perpetually on guard against.

Throughout history, man has sought the truth of his existence. And though the Spirit of Truth, the Paraclete, has been given to the Church to reveal the fullness of truth to man, the intrusion of worldly thinking and temptations has seen the Church turning away from revealed truth since the Second Vatican Council.

As the Epistle of St. James instructs us, “Faith without works is dead.” Despite what we are often told by those outside the Church, as Catholics we know that if we have faith, it is lived through our actions.
